Derrick Harris has more than 20 years of business experience in HR management, consulting, staffing and recruiting. Prior to founding StandBy Talent in 2008, Mr. Harris started a successful HR consultancy firm called The Human Resource Department – Atlanta in 2003 providing HR project management services and temporary staffing for organizations of all sizes in the Atlanta market and beyond. Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Derrick held HR leadership positions at Unisys Corporation, The Coca-Cola Company and J. P. Morgan Chase. He also served as a senior HR consultant with Towers Perrin, Hewitt Associates and Deloitte advising Fortune 500 companies on their human capital strategies and practices. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Columbia University and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
